HD Radio

HD Radio technology works just like traditional analog radio transmissions. But now, broadcasters can also transmit a digital signal with the analog signal. Your HD radio picks up the digital broadcast that are not affected by multipath interference (signals bouncing off buildings, etc.) so you hear a higher-quality broadcast.

This means no more static and crackles of analog radio. FM-radio sounds like near CD-quality and AM sounds like current FM. Also, song names and data are displayed.
